The Building Inspectors are the authority having jurisdiction regarding any construction; be it new, additions, alterations or renovations. The Municipality of the County of Annapolis adopted the National Building Code and subsequent Building Bylaw as standards for any construction in Annapolis County. The Chief Building Official is responsible for fire inspections as outlined in the Fire Safety Act under the Statutes of Nova Scotia.
