| Annapolis County has been cataloguing and establishing guidelines for heritage properties since 1987. The Heritage Inventory for Annapolis County is noted as being one of the best, if not the best, in the province, thanks to the conscientious efforts and thorough work of Ruth Burgess and Wendy MacDonald. Our County has an impressive number of built heritage properties which are unique not only in age but in style. To-date the heritage inventory program has identified and catalogued 2,100 heritage properties (pre-1914) in the county. It is estimated that 250 properties remain to be researched and catalogued. Inventory Sheets are available for viewing by the public at either the Annapolis Royal or Lawrencetown offices. |
